What should I have done to my Hyundai Accent during a 60,000 mile service?

I have a 2002 Hyundai Accent L, drives great. Different garages offer different services as part of their 60,000 mile maintenance package. What is most important and what should I make sure gets done?|||New Engine. Gearbox and all main components|||Yes check your owner's manual to be sure. However a timing belt is often overlooked it is time.|||Timing belt.

All Hyundai's recommend getting the timing belt changed at 60,000 miles. If you wait longer, you could break your engine.

They will probably check your brakes, tires, fluids, and battery power.|||1) I would go ahead and change your timing belt. Hyundai still uses a disgusting interferance engine. (Flat or domed pistons) So if your belt breaks about 2000RPM you will trash your valves and at 4000rpm do so much damage to your heads, pistons that its not worth the risk.

2) Tranny flush at 75k...its prolly to late, pull out the dip stick and smell it, if its burnt smelling just leave it alone, changing/flushing will do more harm then good.

3) Ignition systems: 60-75k is a good time to change your ingition system. its cheap and easy.|||That info can be had from the dealer or in the manual
